Professional Registry for the Northside, Inc. (PRN) is a corporation founded in 1974. It is a fully licensed and insured Private Home Care Provider in Georgia.
PRN is a locally owned and operated Nurses’ Registry that provides referral services for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to clients in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Nurses referred by PRN provide personalized nursing care to clients in the hospital, at discharge, and as they return home for transitional or long‑term care.
Private Duty Nurse Services
- Initial assessment of client’s needs
- Continuous monitoring of the client
- Developing and maintaining each client’s plan of care
- Assisting with all aspects of a client’s daily care
- Bathing or assisting with showering
- Keeping the client’s area clean and orderly
- Assisting with meals or feedings
- Assisting with home physical therapy
- Communicating with the physicians
- Communicating with the family
- Administering medicines
- Administering treatments
- Dressing changes or wound care
- IV infusions
- Colostomy care
- G-tube feedings
- Oxygen therapy
- Assisting with transportation to doctor’s offices or appointments, if needed
- Assisting with clients under hospice care
- Providing emergency care, if needed
All medicines, treatments, colostomy care, G-tube feedings, oxygen therapy, and wound care must be as prescribed by the physician.
Clients who may need our short or long-term private duty nursing care:
- Elderly clients at home, in hospitals, or in facilities
- Clients needing short-term “transitional” care after an illness, accident, or surgery
- Clients under hospice care at home or in a facility
- Families who need 8-24 hours of nursing care per day for their loved one
